Mrs. Neva Mabe Wilson, 86, of Winston-Salem went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2010 at Palliative Care, Forsyth Medical Center. Born October 17, 1923 in Stokes County, the daughter of Noah Cornelius and Annie Smith Mabe. She was a member of Northwoods Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dennis Alton Wilson, daughter, Shirley Wilson Johnson, brothers, Ralph Cornelius Mabe, Coleman Abraham Mabe, Braswell Mabe, sister, Ida Ruth Mabe Jessup, special brother, Lawrence Oliver Wilson, and her loving Uncle Paul and Aunt Blannie Wilson, who loved her and raised her as one of their own children from the age of 11 after her mother passed away. Surviving is a daughter, Elaine Wilson Carter and husband Larry of Winston-Salem; son, Denis (Byrd) Wilson of Walnut Cove; grandson, Jason Carter and wife Kim of Madison; granddaughters, Wendy Myers of Winston-Salem and Erinn Vaughn of Clemmons; great-grandsons, Gray and Chandler Myers and Cameron Vaughn; great-granddaughter, Cerdwin Carter; loving sister, Estelle Nunn of El Paso, TX; loving sisters, Barbara W. King and Jeanette W. Gardner (Ellerbe), Mary W. Collins and husband Roy, Rachel Wilson (West End, NC), Linda W. Garner and husband Brackmon (Jackson Springs, NC), Helen W. Randall and husband Harvey (Polkton, NC), Sara W. Johnson and husband Jim (Wadesboro, NC); loving brothers, Paul Wilson, Jr. and wife Betty (Ellerbe, NC), and John Wilson and wife Cathy (Rockingham, NC). A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:00pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
