Nelson James Adams

Mr. Nelson James Adams, 78, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023.  He was born on August 16, 1945, in Washington DC, to the late Samuel Thompson Adams and Shirley James Adams.  Nelson earned his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and his master’s degree from UNC Chapel Hill.  Nelson was a video producer, loved to travel, a lover of learning and teaching, and of course he loved all his dog companions.  In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his twin brother, Philip Adams.  He is survived by the love of his life and partner of 33 years, Connie; his nephew, Alexander Adams (Annie); sister-in-law, Lisa F. Adams; and Meghan Adkins who was like a daughter to him.  A celebration of Nelson’s life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
