Nellie Reynolds Haney

Mrs. Nell Reynolds Haney born April 1, 1911 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the Walter Coren Reynolds and Nannie Glenn Reynolds passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Haney was the widow of James A. Haney and a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Haney was very active in her circle as long as her health permitted, and enjoyed her many friends at Highland. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and by her beloved son-in-law, Coy M. Vance, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Kay H. Vance, 2 grandsons, Curtis B. Vance and Allan Vance (Robin), and two very special great-grandchildren, Amelia and Weston. She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Ellie Layne of Gretna, VA and many special nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Highland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Debbie Layman officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a period of visitation with the family immediately following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Highland Presbyterian Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Vienna Village for the excellent care given to Mrs. Haney and also to Forsyth Medical Center's Palliative Care Unit.
