Nellie Stone Durham

KERNERSVILLE-Nellie Stone Durham, 99, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born July 23, 1911 in Wilkes Co. to the late Jessie and Lillie Stone. Nellie was a member of Main St. Baptist Church in Kernersville In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Glenn Durham. Surviving are four daughters, Margorie Whitley and husband, Wayne, Shirley Jones and husband, Norman, Mary Chambers all of Kernersville and Nina Stone of Winston Salem; one son, Harold Durham and wife, Nancy of Boise, ID; eleven grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Mike Willard and Rev. Wilson Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
