Nellie Kathryn Dorse

Mrs. Nellie Kathryn Dorse, 81, formerly of Dorse Road passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Bermuda Commons Nursing Home. She was born April 4, 1928 to the late Thomas Lawrence Moser and Grace Norman Moser. She was a housewife and faithful member of Warner's Chapel Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bahnson Dorse, a son, Danny Ray Dorse and a brother, Norman Moser. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gaye Ruark and husband, Gene, and Ms. Sandy Dorse Lewis; two grandchildren, Gina Strickland and husband, Buddy of Lewisville, Jimmy Ruark and wife, Amanda of Belews Creek ; four great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Avery Strickland, Reid and Reanna Ruark; a brother, Ray Moser and wife, Peggy of Winston-Salem; two sisters in law, Di-Ann Moser of Lewisville and Iva Dorse of Mocksville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Warner's Chapel Church of Christ with Minister Frank Shephard and Minister Paul Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
