Nell Hege McBride

Lewisville-Mrs. Nell Hege McBride, 78, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 4, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Samuel Baxter and Grace Brewer Hege. Mrs. McBride was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and was the first Librarian at the Lewisville Library. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are two sons, Eddie McBride (Anne) and Hugh H. McBride (Susan) all of Lewisville; three grandchildren, William, Wesley, and Nicholas McBride; great-grandson, Alex McBride; two sisters, Gladys Livengood (Arthur) of Pinnacle and Hilda Hauser of Lewisville; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Betty Jo Allgood. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 8, 2010 at Sharon United Methodist Church with Rev. Patrick Welch and Rev. Gary Elrod officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church 5330 Sharon Church Rd. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Vienna Village, Hospice, and to Dr. Donald Graham and his staff at Salem Chest Specialist for the care they gave to Mrs. McBride.
