Nell Katherine Franklin

Mrs. Nell Katherine Franklin passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1921 in bennettville, South Carolina to C.W. and Lula Barrington Stubbs. Mrs. Franklin was a member of Waughtown Baptist Church and enjoyed baking and sewing. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Junior Franklin; daughter, Wanda Pearson and great-granddaughter, Tiffany Renee Robertson. Surviving are two granddaughters, Sandra B. Wood and husband Junior of Rockford, Renee B. Robertson and husband Tim of Archdale; a grandson, Jesse Wayne Benge, Sr. of Kernersville; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Robertson, Jesse Wayne Benge, II, Christopher Benge, and Courtney Wood; two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Joe McWethy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
