Nathan A. Wishon, Sr.

Mr. Nathan A. Wishon, Sr., 69 of Satsuma, FL, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, FL following a sudden illness. A native of Franklin County, Virginia, he resided in Putnam County since 1985 coming from Sanford, FL. Nathan owned and operated Wishon Aluminum in Palatka for the past 26 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Connor and Alice Brewer Wishon; two brothers, Warren Wishon and Seabert Wishon and three sisters, Cloie Phillips, Lena Corns and Joyce Brandon. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rita G. Wishon of Satsuma, FL;three sons,, Nathan A. Wishon, Jr. of Satsuma, FL, Ricky Wishon of Altamonte Springs, FL and Chris Wishon of San Mateo, FL; a brother, Fred Wishon of Oklahoma; two sisters, Hazel Richardson and husband, Larry of Winston-Salem, and Billie Mabry and husband, Carl of Collinsville, VA; six grandchildren, Ricky Wishon, Kalyn Wishon, Emily Wishon, Misty Wishon, Shelly Wishon and Sara Wishon; and one great-grandson, Ethan Wishon. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
