Mrs. Natalie Jay Frazier Welch, 82, of Lexington died Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her home. She was born December 12, 1932 in Mecklenburg County, the daughter of the late Nathaniel Heskel and Ava Ledwell Frazier. Mrs. Welch was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed raising Miniature Schnauzers and Toy Poodles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Van Welch and her son, Rodney Dale Welch. Survivors include two sons, Daniel Keith Welch of Lexington and Arthur Dean Welch of Walkertown; two brothers, Herbert Duval Frazier of Orange Park, FL and Robert Eugene Frazier of Las Vegas, NV; her special friend and caregiver, Pat Simmons of Welcome; and her special granddog, Black Jack Welch. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
