COLFAX-Naomi Greene Trivette, 69, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, November 16, 2009 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born December 12, 1939 in Avery Co. to the late James Ballard and Elizabeth Henley Greene. Naomi attended Kernersville Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Fellowship Sunday school class. She also was very active with mission trips. Naomi was the secretary at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church for over 10 years. Surviving are her husband, Luther Edgar Trivette, Jr. of the home; her daughter, Gayle McFarland and husband Bobby of Pleasant Garden; her son, Eddie Trivette and wife Jody of Colfax; the pride and joy of Naomi's life were her grandchildren, Brett and Emily McFarland, Rachel and Carly Trivette; a brother, Sam Greene and wife Linda of Kimesville; and a sister, Sharon Finch and husband Don of Greensboro. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Kernersville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Phil Hulen and Rev. Phil Kirkman officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Wesleyan Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to either, Beacon Place, 2502 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405 or American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Dr., Greensboro, NC 27407.
