Naomi Sapp

Mrs. Naomi Luffman Sapp, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Southport, NC. Naomi was born on April 16, 1934 in Wilkes County to the late Don and Laura Luffman. Naomi retired from Fairchild Industries where she was employed for many years as an Administrative Assistant. She was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to her parents, Naomi was preceded in death by two husbands, Grady Cox and Ralph J. Sapp, Jr.; one brother, Otis Luffman; and one sister, Mae Reynolds. Surviving family includes her daughter, Darlene S. Sokolowski and husband Chris of Cary, NC; four grandchildren, Hailey Johnson and husband Joseph, Abigail Sokolowski, Cristiana Sokolowski and C.J. Sokolowski; two great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Killian; two nephews; and numerous extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church, 429 S. Broad St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101, with Rev. Floyd Boles officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the burial in the fellowship hall of Salem Baptist Church.
