Naomi Crews

WALNUT COVE-Naomi Lunsford Crews, 82 died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born January 8, 1936 in Forsyth Co., to the late Troy and Trudy Lunsford. Naomi was an accomplished seamstress, and devoted wife of 64 years, who loved flowers and finding the perfect thrift store bargain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Charles Crews, Sr.; two brothers, Reuben and Clarence Lunsford; son-in-law, Alton Gibbons; and grandson, Gary Gibbons. Surviving are her children, Donna Gibbons, Vicki Crews, Sheila York (David), Tommie Smith (Jim), and Joseph Crews, Jr.; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
