Nannie Dull Brewer

Mrs. Nannie Dull Brewer, 94, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 1, 1914 in Forsyth County to Coy E. and Lula Burke Dull. Mrs. Brewer was a faithful member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church where she was involved in numerous church activities. She loved gardening as well as cooking for family and friends whom she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clifton Brewer; two sisters, Myra Dull Ziglar and Pauline Dull Patterson and three step sisters, Martha Eidson, Grace Kelbaugh and Eliza Modlin. Surviving are one daughter, Martha Hauser, husband Charles of Cornelius; a grandchild, Allen Hauser, wife Josephine of Charlotte; two great-grandchildren, Thomas Jackson and Nathaniel Reynolds Hauser; two sisters, Ruth Dull Tuttle and Billie R. Holton both of Winston-Salem; also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Neill Shaw and Chaplain Craig Walker of Hospice officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Brewer on Saturday after 12:00 noon at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Pine Grove United Methodist Church 1130 Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to send a special thanks to the management and many friends at Creekside Terrace and to Upper Level Home Care & Personal Care Services for the loving care they gave to Mrs. Brewer.
