Nancy Vest Green

Mrs. Nancy Vest Green, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 9, 1941 in Winston-Salem, NC to Cedric Vest and Ophelia Fender Vest. Nancy was a member of Lewisville Baptist Church. She built many lasting relationships with her smile and loving personality. After being diagnosed with kidney disease, she loved life and wanted her friends and family to treasure life everyday and not take a day for granted. She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Eugene Vest, Richard Vest, and William Vest. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack O. Green; two children, Susan Green and Sheila Simmons (Grady); one grandchild, Brittany Luebchow (Andy); two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Lucy; one brother, David Vest (Ann); two sisters-in-law, Brona Vest and Linda Vest; aunt, Grace Fender; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy loved God and her family more than words could ever express and they helped give her hope through her good and bad days. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Bill Messer officiating.
