Nancy Sue Todd Harvel

Mrs. Nancy Sue Todd Harvel, 86, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Nancy was born in Forsyth County on September 21, 1934, to the late David Joseph Todd and Kate Brewer Todd.  She was a faithful member of Ardmore United Methodist Church and retired from Wachovia after 24 years of service.  Nancy was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.  She had a beautiful spirit and a silent inner strength that inspires her daughters and her grandchildren still to this day.  The only thing she loved more than her family was her Lord and her family returned that same love.  She will be forever in our hearts.  In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Claude “Cliff” Clifton Harvel, Jr. and five siblings, Doris Redding, Ann Welborn, Hubert Todd, Aldine Todd, and David Todd.  Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly Todd Harvel (Roger Scott) of Lewisville, Lori Harvel Shields (Mike) of Pfafftown, and Cindy Harvel Parker (Gary) of Kernersville; grandchildren, Matthew Beroth (Stacey), Joshua Wolfe (Jennifer), Lindsay Stoltz, Corey Parker (Gabi), and Ryan Parker (Jordyn); great-grandchildren, Grace Wolfe, Kaylee Stoltz, Ellie Wolfe, Nolan Stoltz, Kate Beroth, Easton Wolfe, Grayson Parker, and one precious great-grandchild on the way.  Nancy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Ardmore United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Matt Farabow officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Masks and social distancing will be required for all that attend the visitation and service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S. Hawthorne Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.  Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is serving the family of Mrs. Harvel.
