Nancy Jean Myers

Mrs. Nancy Jean “Jeannie” Dunlap Myers, 61, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, after bravely managing a chronic illness with the support of her family. She was born November 25, 1959, in Forsyth County, the daughter of Clarence Milton Dunlap Jr. and Nancy Joyce Dunlap. After graduating from Lees-McRae College and studying at Forsyth Technical Institute, Jeannie was led to a career in nursing. For many years she worked as a nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. With a kind and easy-going personality, she thrived in this profession and cared for everyone both inside and outside her work. She was a member of Trinity Moravian Church. Knitting, reading, and all things Disney were passions in her life. Since childhood, family reunions on the NC coast were cherished by Jeannie and never missed. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, John Myers; her two sons, Ryan Myers of Matthews, NC and Robert Myers of Winston-Salem, NC; a sister, Margaret Dunlap Kessler and a brother, Clarence Milton Dunlap, III who both reside in Charlottesville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Trinity Moravian Church with Pastor John Jackman officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard.
