Nancy Florence Smith Whitlock

Mrs. Nancy Florence Smith Whitlock, 84, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1926 in Anson County to James R. and Alice Philips Smith. Mrs. Whitlock was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Dowell Whitlock; a son, Dennis Allen Whitlock; and a grandson, Joseph Holt. Surviving are four sons, Kenneth James Whitlock and wife Janie, Jerry Gray Whitlock and wife Kathy, Terry Ray Whitlock, and Donald Bruce Whitlock; two daughters, Linda Kay McGrade and Vickie Jean Holt Whitlock; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. Zachary King officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park.
