Mrs. Nancy Jean Watts Whisenhunt, 81, passed away Tuesday September 7, 2021, at her home. She was born July 22, 1940, in Forsyth County to the late Robert Chatham Watts and Frances Masencup Watts. Nancy was a friend to everyone she met; she never met a stranger. She loved attending church, going to auctions, cross stitching, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and eating fried fish.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Arnold Everidge; second husband, Robert Whisenhunt; grandson, Benjamin Miller; grandson-in-law, Christopher Carr; sister, Rachel Watts; and two brothers, Richard Watts and Wayne Watts.
She is survived by four daughters: Tina Parker (Phillip), Lisa Everidge, Teresa Miller (Barry Flippin), and Sandi Kelley (Tony Miller); five grandchildren: Stacy Carr, Christopher Miller, Jennifer Kelley, Rachel Barsi, and Sarah Parker; four great-grandchildren: Emma, Issac, Levi, and Cora; twin sister, Shirley Winfree; brother, David Watts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 12th at Antioch Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC with Pastor Robert Hutchens officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 11th at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
