Nancy Carolyn Echols Tedder

KERNERSVILLE-Nancy Carolyn Echols Tedder, 69, a wonderful wife, and mother went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1941 in Forsyth Co. to the late Clifton Eugene and Ina Wall Echols. After graduating from Kernersville High School where she enjoyed playing varsity basketball; Nancy went to work for Adams Millis for a few years. She then became a homemaker and loved taking care of her family along with the neighborhood children. Nancy loved the outdoors and especially taking care of her flower gardens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Lee Echols. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Gayle Edwin Tedder of the home; a son, Edwin Tedder of Kernersville; one sister, Rachel Flenchum of Greensboro; and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2011 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation Carolinas Chapter, 4530 Park Rd.
