Nancy Southern Shook

Mrs. Nancy Grey Southern Shook, age 70 of East Bend passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Nancy was born in Forsyth County, May 20, 1944 to William Gray and Donnie Jane Newsome Southern. Nancy was a great mother, grandmother and friend. She lived life to its fullness and was loved by all who knew her. Nancy was of the Presbyterian faith. In addition to her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John Shook, one daughter, Teresa Shook and one sister, Doris Davis.

Mrs. Shook is survived by one daughter, Jonna Shook O'Neal of East Bend. Two grandsons; Jamie and John O'Neal. Four brothers: Ronnie (Debbie) Southern of Winston-Salem, Steve (Carol) Southern of SC and Keith Southern and Jerre Southern both of Winston-Salem. Several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Mrs. Shook will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall by speaker Steve Southern. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
