Nancy Holder Rogers

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Holder Rogers, 79, of Yadkinville, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at her home. She was born July 14, 1934 in Forsyth County to the late Lonnie Samuel Holder and Bertha Mae Vernon Holder. Mrs. Rogers was of the Moravian faith. She graduated from Reynolds High School and was a bank teller at Wachovia Bank and Central Carolina Bank through the years. Nancy was an artist, homemaker, a loving mother, a grandmother and a loving wife. She would sit for hours painting pictures. She was into basket weaving and many other crafts with her sister. She loved spending time with her family by taking many trips to the beach and camping. She was preceded in death by her first born son, Connie Samuel Rogers and her loving sister, Peggy Holder Bowles. Surviving are her loving husband of 56 years, Connie Mack Rogers of the home; a son, Louis Wayne Rogers of Rural Hall; a daughter, Julia Rogers Brandon of the home; a granddaughter, Lori Rae Brandon of the home; two grandsons, Mathew (Kaitlin) Rogers of Matthews, NC and Nathaniel (Elyse) Rogers of Arcadia; two granddaughters, Katie Rogers of Kansas and Nicole (Jeremy) Kurland of Omaha, NE; two great grandchildren, Brianna Rogers of Kansas and Dayton Kurland of Nebraska. Also her four legged babies who never left her side, Carlee and Angel. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Worth Green officiating. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. I would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers who have helped my family, Debbie Smith, Lenora Combs and Tracey Ridings. If it wasn't for you ladies, I could not have done this. Also I would like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care for all of their help and kind words.
