Nancy Boner Parnell, 91, passed away at home on March 26, 2024. She was born on July 21, 1932, to Blanche Mullican Boner and Burton Thomas Boner, Sr. in Forsyth County. Nancy was a lifelong member of Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ. She graduated from Clemmons High School and worked at Western Electric. There, she made many lasting friendships. Nancy enjoyed working around her home, and doing yardwork while she was able. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fletcher Parnell. Surviving are her brother, Burton T. Boner, Jr.; niece, Jennifer Shelton (Steve); nephew, Brent T. Boner; great niece and great nephew, Ava and Owen Shelton who loved Nancy as a grandmother; and other extended family. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery on S. Peacehaven Rd. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or Boyer’s Chapel Cemetery Fund.
