Nancy O'Connor

Nancy O'Connor, 70, of Winston-Salem and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1946 in Oceanside, Long Island, NY, the daughter of the late, Harold and Garnet Brandt Johnson. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was a graduate of George W. Hewlett High School and Iowa Wesleyan University. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sandy Durham. Survivors include one brother, Michael Haroldsson and wife, Delores of Long Island, NY; four sisters, Kathy Harwell and husband, Brett of Caldwell, ID, Donna Gerlach and husband, Hugh of Martinsville, VA, Frances Durham of Winston-Salem, and Kerri Rybak and husband, Andrew of Winston-Salem; and many nieces and nephews and special friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4820 Kinnamon Road, Winston-Salem, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
