Nancy Marie McKoin Nelson

Mrs. Nancy Marie McKoin Nelson, 42, of Pinnacle went to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 19, 1966 in Guilford County to William Franklin McKoin, Jr. and Patricia Spear McKoin. She was preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law, Ruby J. Nelson and brother-in-law, Todd Nelson, her maternal grandparents, Blane and Nancy Spear and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Emma Mckoin. Nancy was the owner and operator of Handy Lady Cleaning Service for 20 years. She was was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jody Nelson, whom she met at the age of 14 and were married October 18, 1985; two very special daughters and sons-in law, Alisha and Kris Hodges of Pinnacle and Ashley Nelson of the home; her mother Patricia Moore of Winston-Salem; one special sister, Tammy and Mitch Gray and their sons Devin and Chase of Davidson Co; and two sisters, Ann Smith and family of Ohio and Debbie of Winston-Salem; one brother, Billy McKoin and daughter, Amber; father-in-law, Wilbur Nelson and wife, Mary; sisters-in-law, Becky Nelson and family and Jan Nelson and family; four brothers-in-law, Keith Nelson and family, Gary and Annette Nelson and family, Chris and Rhonda Nelson and family and Rodney and Paula Nelson all of Winston-Salem as well as many special family and friends. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Charles Craver and Pastor Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Walkertown. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
