Nancy Long Myers

Mrs. Nancy Long Myers, 79, of Advance, NC, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born September 12, 1943 in Sylacauga, Alabama to Robert Charles Long and Mary Wood Long. Nancy married Billy Myers on May 28, 1988 and were married for 35 years. He was her best friend who she loved to spend time with. Nancy was a member of Bixby Presbyterian Church and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Sharon Atkins Marshall and a brother, Ronnie Long. Surviving are her husband, Billy Myers; two daughters, Michelle Allen (Pat) and Sandra Bolling; three sons, Jamie Norman (Cindy), Dustin Atkins and Christopher Atkins; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with her son, Jamie Norman officiating. Interment will follow in Bixby Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
