Nancy Ruth Grubbs Kiser

Walkertown - Nancy Ruth Grubbs Kiser, 87, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Trinity Glen Nursing and Rehab. Nancy was born on April 15, 1929 in Forsyth County to James Walter Grubbs Sr. and Leva Mecum Grubbs. She was a graduate of Walkertown High School and retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. Nancy was a member of Love's United Methodist Church for over the past 80 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling, camping and dancing. She was known as the ""Hat Lady"" at the VFW.


In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Gray Kiser, Sr., and two sons, Gregory Grubbs Kiser and Terry James Kiser; one sister and seven brothers.

Surviving are three sons, Melvin ""Junie"" Kiser, Jr. (Arlie) of Walkertown, Randy Kiser of Walkertown, and Kristy Ty Kiser (Joanne) of Kernersville; two grandchildren, Whitney Kiser Assaid (Thomas) of South Carolina and Joseph Ty Kiser of Kernersville; three great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Love's United Methodist Church with Pastor Lynn Cash officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church, and immediately following the graveside in the church fellowship hall.
