Nancy Johnson

Mrs. Nancy Carolyn Jones Johnson, 85, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home. Nancy was born in Pittsylvania County, VA., to the late Bennie O. Jones, Sr. and Irene McClanahan Jones on December 9, 1932. Nancy loved cooking for and being around her family. She also liked to travel and take road trips with her best friend. She enjoyed all kinds of flowers, especially daisies. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfred G. Johnson of 61 years. She is survived by her children Johnny Kent Johnson (Kenneth G. Lawson); Penny R. Johnson (Jennifer J. Welden) and Benjamin O. Johnson (Michael E. Bustle Jr.); five grandchildren, Spencer C. Johnson; Tyler Reed Johnson; Abigail A. Johnson; Sawyer Johnson-Welden and Thatcher Johnson-Welden; brother, Bennie O. Jones, Jr. and sister Shirley J. Ellison. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday August 9, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Winston-Salem. Entombment will follow the service. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
