Nancy Cecilia DeVaughn Hofmann

Winston-Salem- Mrs. Nancy Cecilia DeVaughn Hofmann, 76, passed away October 28, 2011 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born November 22, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to the late Isadore James DeVaughn and Thelma Bossle DeVaughn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Hofmann and a brother Gilbert James DeVaughn. Mrs. Hofmann was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and was a member of St. Teresa Guild. She was a graduate of The Catholic High School of Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Hofmann is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert Gordon Hofmann of the home; five children, Mary Elizabeth Fahey, Robert Gordon Hofmann, Jr. and spouse Ann Kittredge of Forest Hills, NY, David Francis Hofmann, Andrew James Hofmann, and Jean Cecelia Trowbridge and spouse Charles; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Mary Jeanne DeVaughn of Overland Park, KS; brother, Robert Andrew DeVaughn and spouse Carol of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Elizabeth Ann Gibbons and spouse James of Pikesville, MD; brother, Richard Eugene DeVaughn and spouse Nancy of Exeter, NH; special cousins, Alice ""Sissy"" Fertitta and Genevieve Kiefer, both of MD. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church with Fr. Brain Cook as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
