Nancy Gautier

Nancy Fairchild Gautier, 75, passed away on December 21, 2022, at Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center. Nancy was born on January 13, 1947, to Esther West Fairchild and General Avington Fairchild in Forsyth County.  She was a gifted musician who could pick up just about any instrument and begin playing it in no time at all.  In her younger years, Nancy enjoyed performing in a country band. In recent years, she enjoyed a successful career as a hairdresser at Cuts-N- Curls Salon. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Gautier, Jr; brothers, Herman, Odell, Earl, and Henry Fairchild. Surviving are her children Tobie Bagley of Nashville, TN, and Gene Laws of Monticello, KY; one grandson and three granddaughters; three great grandchildren; a brother, Tim Fairchild; a special niece, Ann Bell of Grinnell, Iowa; longtime friend, Arthur Lee Willard; and extended family.  A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
