Nancy Jones Davis

Mrs. Nancy Davis, 83, peacefully entered her heavenly home Saturday June 10, 2023. She was born in Rockingham County on May 23, 1940, to the late Bill and Ruby Jones. Nancy was a member of Woodland Baptist Church where she cherished the faithful friendships and love she gained there. Nancy was a loving wife, precious Mother, caring Nana and a blessed great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and found comfort in prayer and reading her Bible daily. Nancy’s family meant everything to her, simply sitting at the table talking with loved ones brought her the most happiness.  Her sass and fun-loving personality brought laughter to everyone around her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.  All who knew and loved her affectionately called her Nana. She is sorely missed. Preceding her in death was husband Benny Davis and a granddaughter Lisa Reid. Surviving is son, Timmy Reid; son, Joe Reid (Ella); daughter, Kitty Reid Davis (Jamie); son, Jeffrey Reid; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Jones (Mary) and Sam Jones; sister, Judy Loftis (Roger); also surviving are special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Woodland Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating.  Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd, Rural Hall, NC 27106.
