Nancy Costa

WINSTON SALEM – Nancy Wilkinson Costa, 69, passed away Monday, January 16, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center. Nancy was born on October 8, 1953, in Ford County, IL to the late Harry and Norma Brown Wilkinson.  She was in the Department of Children and Family Services until October 8, 1971, and married Lawrence Joseph Costa on October 16, 1971 in Danville, IL.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Costa; two children, Dawn Michelle Hall (Joe Hall) of Missouri, and Lawrence Steven Costa (Claire) of South Hampton, England; seven grandchildren, Payton, Rhiannon, Ethan, Serenity, Haley, Caitlin, and Lewis; two great grandchildren, Kaiden and Tobias Costa; two sisters, Annie Loza, and Nila Jean Massengill; two brothers, Father Wayne Wilkinson, and Roger Wilkinson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Nancy will be laid to rest at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Allhands Cemetery in Danville, IL.
