Nadeina Gibson Buchanan

Mrs. Nadeina Gibson Buchanan, 96 of Clemmons, died Tuesday morning July 22, 2008 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Buchanan was born April 26, 1912 in Forsyth County the daughter of the late Robert Lee Gibson, Sr., and the late Clara Brown Gibson. In her early years she taught piano and was a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother and one who was very family oriented. She was a member of Reynolda Presbyterian Church, but attended Christ Moravian Church with her daughter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Stewart Buchanan, in 1966, and a son, Robert W. Buchanan in 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Clara Buchanan Rollins, grandchildren, Christine Nadeina Buchanan, William Stewart Buchanan, II and wife Ammie Wallis Buchanan, Katherine Rollins Schnell and Maury Schnell, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Joanne Buchanan, Taylor James Buchanan, and daughter-in-law Mary Susan Chappell Buchanan. A funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, at Christ Moravian Church with Rev. Roger Kimball officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive 6-8 PM Wednesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.
