Myrtle Elizabeth Tillotson

Myrtle “Lib” Elizabeth Puckett Tillotson, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, January 27, 2025. She was born on February 22, 1936, in Surry County to the late Viola Logan Puckett and Ellis Pucket. Lib was a kindhearted and caring soul. She will be remembered for the loved and support she had for her family. She was a mother of three exceptional children, whom she was incredibly proud of. Lib was a strong and hardworking woman. She spent over 35 years working as a CNA for Forsyth Hospital, where she eventually retired from. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with those she loved, most notably her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as traveling the world on numerous cruises. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold Tillotson, as well as a sister, Alice Faye Marsh. 

Surviving is a daughter, Kate Waldron; two sons, Brian C. Tillotson and Harold Jay Tillotson; many special grandchildren; many special great-grandchildren; as well as a brother, Jerry Puckett.

Lib will be laid to rest at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, where the family will hold a private family inurnment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home at 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
