Myrtice Naomi Lawson Heath

Mrs. Myrtice Naomi Lawson Heath, 90, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home. She was born May 29, 1924 in Stokes County to the late Johnny Davis Lawson and Bessie Lawson Lawson. Mrs. Heath was the oldest charter member of Friendly Chapel Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Heath; two sisters; three brothers; one half-brother; and two great-grandsons, Jeremy Sprinkle and Seth Hicks. She is survived by six daughters: Frances (Willis) Fulton of Pilot Mt., Nancy (Roger) Martin of Dobson, Clara (Glenn) Meeks of Stuart, VA, Glenda (Jimmy) Bennett of Pilot Mt., Bonnie (S.B.) Fulk of Dobson, and Kathy (Tim) Francis of Westfield; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Lynch; four half-sisters; two half-brothers; and special adopted family, Mike Medley, Jean Baker, and Jeff Medley.
A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10 at Friendly Chapel Church in Pilot Mountain with Brother Don Collins and Brother Jerry Pardue officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
