Muriel Frances Nelson Martin

KERNERSVILLE-Muriel Frances Nelson Martin, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born December 29, 1929 in Carroll Co., Virginia to the late James Franklin and Virginia Sumner Nelson. Mrs. Martin was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. She retired from Adams Millis (Hanes Brand Inc.) after 34 years of employment. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy William Martin; three sons, Ralph, Wayne, and Ozzie Martin; and two brothers, Arthur and Arley Nelson;. Surviving are two daughters, Pauline M. Webster, and Rachel M. Young both of Kernersville; three sons, Carles L. Martin of Germanton, Charles Martin and Louis Martin both of Hillsville, VA; twenty grandchildren; two brothers, James and David Nelson; four sisters, Faye Holland, Hazel Caudle, Mary Hill, and Linda Bowman. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. John Spry officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm in Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in Claudville, VA.
