Mrs. Vena Jarvis Johns

Mrs. Vena Jarvis Johns, 93, of Clemmons, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. She was born June 3, 1918 in Wilkes County to Lindsey Mansfield Jarvis and Eulora Henderson Jarvis. Mrs. Johns was a member of Clemmons First Baptist Church and a former member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sheppard Johns, Sr. Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Johns Priddy (John Andrus) of Clemmons and Lora Lynn Johns Chuffo (Ray) of Wilmington; one son, William ""Bill"" S. Johns, Jr. (Dollie) of Charlotte; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Jarvis. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Park with and Dr. Cecil R. Cave, Jr. and Dr. Robby Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons First Baptist Church, P.O.
