Mrs. Robbie Patterson Head Willard

Mrs. Robbie Patterson Head Willard, 87 of Winston-Salem, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2011 at the Oaks at Forsyth. Mrs. Willard was born October 4, 1923 in Elberton, Georgia to the late Robert Ben and Claudia Latham Patterson. Robbie was a long time member of Union Ridge United Methodist Church and was retired from Thalheimers/Hecht's Department Stores. In addition to her parents, Robbie was preceded in death by two husbands, Rudolph Clinton Head and Roy Clifford Willard. Surviving to cherish her memory is a son; Rudy Head and wife, Becky of Winston-Salem, a daughter, Linda Doby and husband, David of Advance, NC; four grandchildren; Jennifer Davis and husband, Neal of Lewisville, NC, Andrew Head and friend, Amy of Winston-Salem, Stephanie Doby and Allison Head both of Winston-Salem, her great-grandson, Wesley Davis, a sister, Martha McPherson of Winston-Salem and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday, January 19 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 20 at Union Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Elrod officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of the Oaks at Forsyth for the care given to Robbie and the family during her stay there.
