Mrs. Pauline 'Polly' Ring Addington

WINSTON-SALEM Mrs. Pauline ""Polly"" Ring Addington, 85, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, April 9th at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Wise, VA to the late Walter and Reda Ring. Pauline was a charter member of the Auxillary of Forsyth Medical Center and volunteered there for as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Addington; brothers: Carlyle Ring, Bob Ring, Jim Ring, Elmer Goff and Delmer Goff; and sister, Joyce Kiser. She is survived by two sons: Larry and wife, Marianne of Tobaccoville & Don and wife, Debbi of Loganville, GA; four grandchildren: Michelle (Phillip), Scott (Denise), Jeremy (Carol) and Ben; six great-grandchildren: Kristin, Trevor, Danielle, Austin, Calissa and Caelan; three brothers: Bill Ring, Jessee Ring (Connie), and Ray Ring (Margret); seven sisters: Eva Jarrett, Dorothy Sim (John), Kate Holbrook, Erma Ogburn (Allen), Betty Kirby (Ken), Frances Wills (Ken) and Debby Presnell (Jimmy). A funeral service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at Mrs. Addington's residence at 116 Columbine Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to the Ring Memorial Cemetery, c/o Sue Lambert, 16330 Greenevers Court, Abingdon, VA 24210. The family would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center's Neuro ICU unit, the eighth floor Palliative Care Center and to Dr. Kim Kinsley and her wonderful staff at Kate B.
