Mrs. Ora Mae Bowles

Mrs. Ora Mae Gough Bowles, 99, of Mocksville passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home. She was born December 29, 1912 in Yadkin County to James Emory and Victoria Clark Gough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie David Bowles; a sister and six brothers. Surviving are a son, David ""Shorty"" Bowles of Mocksville; a daughter, Ruby Walker and husband Lewis of Advance; two grandchildren, Kathy Cobb and husband Daniel and Beth Walker and two great grandchildren, Jonathan and Sydney Cobb. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Wayne Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Yadkin Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
