Mrs. Mildred Young Marshall

Mrs. Mildred Young Marshall, 91, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Priddy Manor in King. She was born in Forsyth Co. on August 17, 1921 to the late John Robert Young and Lola Vanhoy Young. Mrs. Marshall was of the Baptist Faith and retired from P.H. Hanes Knitting with 43 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wesley Marshall and a daughter, Patsy Riggs. Mrs. Marshall is survived by her son, John Marshall and wife Nancy of King, a granddaughter, Brandy Holmes and husband Mark of King, a grandson, John Eric Marshall and wife Laura of Winston-Salem, four grandchildren, Tera Holmes, Zane Holmes, Maysun Marshall and Luke Marshall, five nieces, Montine Griffin (Richard), Wanda Goins (Jack), Marilyn Gardner, Phyllis Hedgecock (Ricky) and Beverly Forter and two nephews, Lance Young and Larry Young. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with Rev. Bryan Beverly officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 prior to the graveside service at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to; Mountain View Baptist Church, Mountain View Church Rd., King, NC 27021. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Priddy Manor for all the love and care that was shown during her time there.
