Mrs. Mary Hutchinson Dampier

Mrs. Mary Hutchinson Dampier of Winston-Salem, NC a devoted loving wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mary was born March 23, 1927 in Richmond County, NC to the late Joseph Franklin and Mary Belle Covington Hutchinson. She was an active and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church over 40 years. Mary was a Godly woman of great faith, who was a true gift from God. She was a lady with a great sense of humor, drawing people to her with her sweet spirit, peppered with wisdom, wit and genuine Southern Hospitality. Mary was young at heart, generous, a great cook, and was gifted in helping others see and use their God given abilities and talents. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dampier. Surviving to cherish her memory are two daughters; Patrice Caudle of Lewisville, Tina Dampier of Winston-Salem, her son, Doug Dampier and wife, Teresa of Winston-Salem, three grandchildren; Matt Hemmings and wife, Laura of Denver, NC, William Danpier of Raleigh, NC, Katherine Dampier of Asheville, NC, a great-grandchild; Noah Hemmings and a sister, Martha Hampton of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Friday, June 7, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Gary Byrum. Burial will follow in the Forsyth Memorial Park.
