Mrs. Lillian Marie Lawson

Mrs. Lillian Marie Lawson, age 88 of Winston-Salem, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born January 9, 1924 in Forsyth County to the late Thomas and Alfie Jones Stewart. Mrs. Lawson served in the U.S. Army as a nurse during WWII and had retired as a private duty nurse at the age of 75. Her husband, Ernest Creed Lawson, a daughter, Mary Cathryn Lawson and two brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Terry Lawson; two grandchildren, Rodney Lawson and Angela Martin and one great granddaughter, Amanda Smith all of Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
