Mrs. Joyce Laprad Harper

Joyce Laprad Harper passed away at her home on November 18, 2013. She was born March 16, 1933 to Clella Miller Laprad and Silas Beacher Laprad in Ashe County. Joyce served 20 plus years as a private duty nurse. She regularly attended Pinedale Christian Church. Joyce loved spending time with her precious family. Her warm smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Harper. Survivors include her son, Gray Harper (Renee); grandchildren, Nikki Brendle (Seth), and Grayson Harper; and great grandchildren, Layla, Joshua, and Nolan; and one sister, Wanda Edwards (Steve) of Advance, NC. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Pinedale Christian Church with Rev. Bill McKenzie and Rev. Bob McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
