Mrs. Gladys Williams Holley

Mrs. Gladys Williams Holley, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at her home. She was born August 29, 1925 in Yadkin County to Vida Lee and James Newell Williams. Mrs. Holley retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church and was active in Homebound Ministries. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessee Cleo Holley. Surviving are six nieces and nephews, Sue White and husband Keith, Jean McKeown and husband Kenneth, Pat Sparks and husband Roy, Linda Morris and husband John, Larry Williams and wife Sandi, and Jimmy Williams. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Gus Thomas and Dr. Cecil Cave officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 3733 Ogburn Ave., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care and kindness provided by the staff at Brookstone Terrace and Hospice of Davie County.
