Mrs. Geneva Jane Marshall Kiger

Mrs. Geneva Jane Marshall Kiger, age 90 of Rural Hall passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a brief illness. Mrs. Kiger was born in Forsyth County, October 21, 1920 to the late Charles Matt and Rosa Pegram Marshall. She was a member of Rural Hall Moravian Church in Rural Hall and retired from Dr. Robert Helsabeck Dentistry after 46 years of service as a Dental Assistant. Mrs. Kiger enjoyed cooking for and being with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kiger was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Norval Kiger, three sisters and one brother, and son-in-law, Martin Ridge. Surviving are her twin daughters; Julia (Rick) Page and Jane Ridge both of Rural Hall. One son; Keith Kiger of Winston-Salem. Four granddaughters; Molly P. Lorentz and husband Chad, Heather J. Kiger, Lena P. Ammons and husband Rick, Audrey R. Fant and husband Frankie. Four grandsons; Matt Page, Austin Ridge, Adam Ridge and wife Ashley and Brian Kiger. Seven great grandchildren; Ashlyn, Katy, and Tate Lorentz, Ava and Archer Ridge, Ella Ammons and Banks Fant, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Kiger will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. at Rural Hall Moravian Church with the Rev. Dr. Steve Craver and Rev. Jim Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall Thursday evening May 12th from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M.
