Mrs. Effie 'Belle' Seats

Mrs. Effie Isabelle Belle Smith Seats, 80 of Clemmons, died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 26, 1930 in Scotland County to the late Edward and Margaret Gibson Smith. Mrs. Seats was a member of Clemmons United Methodist Church, a graduate of Appalachian State University and had retired in 1985 with over 20 years of service as a school teacher with Davidson County Schools. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Andrew Seats. Surviving are a son, Marc Andy Seats; one daughter, Andrea Suggs and husband Robby; two grandchildren, Lauren Suggs and John Robert Suggs all of Clemmons and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Clemmons United Methodist Church by Dr. Bill Medlin. The family will receive friends following the service.
