Mrs. Cornelia Neal" Knesel

WINSTON-SALEM-Mrs. Cornelia ""Neal"" Knesel, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter-in-law, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Durham, NC on November 4, 1944,she grew up in Chapel Hill, NC and later graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with Phi Beta Kappa honors. At Carolina, she met her future husband, Dave and they were married in 1966. Mrs. Knesel was a member of Clemmons Moravian Church, where she was a circle leader, president of the Women's Fellowship, trustee, Stewardship Campaign Chair, Sunday School officer and head diener. She devoted her working career to historic research at MESDA, and served for the last eight years as the receptionist for the Main Branch of BB&T in Winston-Salem. An avid reader, listener and lifetime learner, she loved museums, home decorating articles and shows, historic exhibitions, travel with her husband, and conversations with anyone. Neal is survived by her husband of 42 years, David; daughter Veronica Cline, husband Mike and granddaughter Madison of Winston-Salem; daughter Jennifer Beaudry, husband David and grandson Kyle of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, John Paulsen and his wife Judy of Lookout Mountain, GA; a sister, Anna Childers and husband Jim of Benson, NC; and a loving mother-in-law, Mrs. Alma Knesel, of Seminole, FLA. A Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 14 at Clemmons Moravian Church by Rev. Ray Burke. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Clemmons Moravian Church Building Fund. P.O.
