Mrs. Bonnie Carter Smith beloved mother and Mimi 67 passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Village Care of King, NC. Mrs. Smith was born February 17, 1946 in Forsyth County to the late John Ruffin and Mildred Powell Carter. Bonnie was a member of Christ Moravian Church, where she had served as a trustee and also on the Women's Fellowship. She also completed 3 levels of Gemeinschaft. She enjoyed crafts, working in the yard, but most of all helping others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas ""Tommy"" Smith. Surviving to cherish her memory are a daughter, Robin Boger and husband, Randy of Rural Hall, NC , two precious grandchildren, Jake and Gracie Boger of the home, a brother, Randy Carter and wife Melanie of Kernersville, NC; two nieces; Jill Casserly of Raleigh and Amy Good of Atlanta, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Christ Moravian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. David A. Marcus, Jr., and the Rev. Dr. Neil Routh. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC. Memorials may be made to Christ Moravian Church, 904 W. Academy Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
