Mrs. Betsy McDaniel Hall Isaacs, 81 of Winston-Salem, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Mrs. Isaacs was born April 12, 1932 in Guilford County, NC to the late Carl and Nellie McDaniel. Betsy was a free spirited person, who celebrated life every day, touching the hearts of all, she came in contact with. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Isaacs and several brothers and sisters. Surviving to cherish her memory are five children; Albert (Rita) Hall of Winston-Salem, Suzette Butner of Winston-Salem, Michelle (Jim) Carson of Phenix City, Alabama, William Isaacs and his wife, Siobhan, who was Betsy's loving caregiver, of Winston-Salem, and Elizabeth Isaacs of Walkertown; eight grandchildren; Brandon, Roxanna, MaryKarinna, David, Liz, Patrick, Stacey and Josh and eight great-grandchildren. The Isaacs family will receive friends from 7-9:00 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Winston-Salem Rescue Squad, 2955 N. Liberty St., Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The family would like to express their gratitude to Forsyth Medical Center for the care given to Mrs. Isaacs and her family over the years.
