Allynee Moody Hendren, 93, of Winston-Salem went to meet the Lord on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born August 4, 1918 in Surry County to Howard and Leevia Adams Moody. She was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after 27 years of service in the Engineering Department. Mrs. Hendren was a member of Becks Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Hendren, Sr., a son, Eugene (Gene) F. Mote, a granddaughter, Denise Mote, two brothers and a sister. Surviving are a son, William M. Mote, of the home; a daughter, Carol M. Phillips, of the home; a son, David L. Mote, Sr.; three grandchildren, Dana F. Williams, Erik P. Phillips and David Mote, Jr.; a great grandson; two great granddaughters; two great great grandchildren; and many special friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Becks Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Karl Minor officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Monday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, W-S, N.C. 27103.
